WHAT IS HOMEOPATHY?
The main principle: "like cures like"

Middlesex University logo The name homeopathy comes from the Greek word ‘Homo’ meaning similar and ‘Pathos’ meaning suffering.

Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician in the eighteenth century, pioneered this new system of medicine after turning away from the crude methods of his orthodox counterparts.

Homeopathy

The main principle of homeopathy is "like cures like" (SIMILIA SIMILIBUS CURENTUR), which states that any substance causing symptoms to appear in a healthy person can cure the same symptoms in the sick.

The homeopathic approach uses substances that have been diluted and therefore are safe, gentle and stimulate the body to heal itself.
